Where to shop
Influenced by both India and China, Thailand offers the best of Asia and Chiang Mai works hard to let you take it home. Boasting one of the biggest markets, the so called “Sunday Walking Street”, you are certain to find something you want. The following is a selection of our favorite places to shop.

Muang Mai Market
Located next to the Ping River, this is Chiang Mai’s biggest and most vibrant fruit and vegetable markets. It’s basically open around the clock, with different vendors selling at different times. Come here to have a real local experience.

Kham Thiang Market
The Kham Tiang Flower Market offers hundreds of stands where locals and tourists alike can buy hundreds of species of plants, flowers and even seeds. You can also find stoneware and the workings to create beautiful fountains at the market.

Malin Plaza
Opposite Chiang Mai Universities main gate on Huay Kaew Road, this is the place for cheap and trendy fashion and accessories. Hungry? Try one of the many barbecue restaurants located at the back of the market.

Maya
When you are looking for a world-class shopping experience with an urban feel than the Maya Shopping Mall should be your pick. This large and futuristic looking building is reminiscent of those in Bangkok and Singapore. There are six floors filled with the latest fashions, tech gadgets and beauty with entertainment and restaurants.

Central Festival
Chiang Mai's largest Shopping Mall offers you everything you can imagine from imported goods to local foods. Tired of shopping? Go to the top floor and watch a movie in one of the many cinemas.

Central Airport Mall
This mall is conveniently located near the Airport. Thais makes it ideal for some last minute shopping. You can find everything here, from brand name stores to your favorite meal.

Kad Suan Kaew
The oldest shopping mall in Chiang Mai is the Kkad Suan Kaew Shopping Mall. It has a variety of shops, restaurants, electronic stores and discount stores. The mall does not have many brand name stores but you will find well-made clothes, food, drinks and more.
